I have been practicing yoga since September 2015 and it is a huge part of my life. I love how relaxing it is and the way it makes me feel. Yoga is more than just the poses and what happens on the mat. It is about how you take those lessons from the mat and apply them to the real world. It is about being kind to others and also yourself. The gift of yoga continues to teach me so many valuable lessons. I am stronger and more resilient because of it. I am proud of the poses I’ve mastered including headstand and crow. I never thought I would be able to do these advanced poses. It just goes to show that if you set your mind to achieving a goal, you can accomplish it no matter how long it takes. I hope to enroll in yoga teacher training in the future when the timing is right for me.
