10 Books In January 2024!
I am on to a good reading start for 2024 as I wrap up January with 10 total books read! I have never read 10 books in a month before so I’m excited that I’m already off to a fantastic start. I read a little bit of a mix of everything from the genres I love. This includes a couple poetry books, a couple biographies, mixed in with true crime, travel, style, and meditation. I don’t think it gets better than that.
My favorite of the 10 has to be the 10th one I finished today, Disney World at 50. As a Disney lover and someone who went there earlier this month, the more I read about Disney, the more I appreciate the place where I have so many magical memories. I loved looking back in time at the articles and photos that go back to the 70s and 80s when Disney World was new. It’s hard to believe it will be 53 years old this year. My least favorite book was John Stamos biography. I love a good celebrity memoir, but he’s as full of himself as they come. The most heartbreaking and difficult book I read was about the Natalee Holloway case which her mother published in 2007, 2 years after she mysteriously vanished. I remember following that case when I was in junior high as my mom was always watching it. It is so sad what happened to her and her family, I hope her mother finds peace knowing her perpetrator is behind bars. The most relaxing book was Meditate Yourself Happy. Their is so many different meditations which I think is important especially since we live in such a stressed out world. The most informative book was the book about Elvis. Before visiting Graceland in Memphis a few years ago I hardly knew anything about him. After I went there I appreciated him more, especially knowing that he was an avid reader like me.
