September 2024 Books

My favorite book this month was Friends ‘Til The End: The One With All Ten Years by David Wild. Friends is my favorite TV sitcom that I got into in my early 20s. It is also special to me because I was only 2 days old when the show premiered so Friends and I practically have the same Birthday which was a big milestone this year as in the one where Friends and I both turn 30! The book is unique in that it features Friends exit interviews by the entire cast including the main six, Janice, Gunther, and also the producers Marta Kaufmann, David Crane, and Kevin S. Bright. This makes it a more intimate and in depth look at the show when you are hearing from their perspective, rather than interpretations of how we think the cast feel about the show. In addition to these interviews which are amazing, every season is dissected and includes iconic images from some of the well known episodes of each season. Their are lots of Friends books out their, but I find this one to be highly underrated because many people don’t know about it and just how much insight from the cast you get from this book.
